Ceramic Coating: What It Protects and How Long It Lasts

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to the clear coat and cures into a hard, hydrophobic layer. It is not magic and it does not make paint scratch-proof, but it gives real, lasting protection against UV, chemicals, water spots and light marring, and it makes the car far easier to keep clean.

The honest difference from wax: wax lasts weeks, a quality ceramic lasts years. Water beads and rolls off, dirt struggles to stick, and washing takes a fraction of the time. What ceramic does not do is protect against stone chips or careless washing, that is what PPF is for.

Most of the result comes from preparation, not the bottle. We decontaminate the paint and do multi-stage machine polishing to remove swirls and defects first, because the coating locks in whatever is underneath. Skipping that step is how cheap coatings disappoint.

Applied properly and maintained with the right shampoo, a ceramic coating keeps the car looking its best for years. We will tell you honestly which package makes sense for your car and how to care for it afterwards.
